Is there any insole suitable for diabatic patients so as to conform to foot their form?

i am a diabatic patient. while walking or driving i feel much pain in my foot. i am also not comfortable with any of my footwears as none of them have foot bed conform to my foot. i had one such which had some sort of foot bed which gave me some sort of comfort. some doctors suggested that i should go in for specific diabatic footwear. is that true ? then can you suggest me whether i can get one such footwear in india ?

I've been Diabetic for 34yrs and now also have a foot condition, Charco's foot and with the involvement and close watch of these three departments,diabetic, podiatrist and othotic, I now have a ankle boot type shoe I have to wear with soft insoles, not shaped but very comfortable. The boots are soft and high above the instep so that the toes do not have any irritation and wide enouph for the broad part of the mishaped foot. So quite happy with the shoe/boot. One gets a choice of colour and style from their catalogues which the orthotic clinic shows you when you are there for your appointments. Good luck.
Reply:i have never heard of diabeitc foot wear but i will look into it for you. i am diabetic and have problems with my feet too so i think i will speak to my doc about it too.

Reply:Good quality training shoes will provide adequate support and protection for your feet but if they are mishapen (diabetics can develop a condition called charcot foot which changes the shape of the foot) you really do need specialist shoes. Your local hospital should have details.
