How do I reduce or eliminate cycling hot foot? have already tried differentpedals, insoles, shoes, adj.cleats?

I had that problem a while ago and solved it very easily. Loosen your shoes. Your feet swell while you ride.

i usually get hot foot if i haven't been riding for a while. but, then when i changed to diadoras...i seemed to not get it at all
Reply:I used to race. This is a bit gross, but it works: apply something like vaseline to your foot.
Reply:I have problems with hot foot. Two things I've tried that seem to help, but not eliminate the problem -

I ride with regular socks, not cycling socks (unless it's raining). The little bit of extra cushion seems to help.

I buy my shoes a little bigger. About 1/2 size. Or wider, if possible. I also don't cinch them down really tight.

I have no scientific evidence to back any of this up, I just know that it does help me.

I tried switching pedal systems too, I went from spd's to looks. I didn't really notice much difference, except that look cleats wear out way too fast and cost way too much. And there are no good commuter shoes for look systems. I went back to my spd's. I have heard other people say the look system helped them.

Good luck.
Reply:Try putting your cycling sole in a running shoe or tennis shoe that it will fit snugly in. Walk around in it for a few days to get a godd break in on it. Some cycling soles just dont break in right unless you do allot of walking in them and thats no fun in cycling shoes.
Reply:try specialized's body geometry shoes. they're designed to help with that sort of problem
Reply:try to freeze your leg before you go cycling.
