Need more support for Jogging .....?

so i had been running around the neighborhood (paved), and the bottom of my foot got sprained (the best thing i come up with is a mild case of "plantar fasciitis"). it never happened before and with the right foot preporations i blieve i can stop it from hapening again. anyway, i bought insoles and white tape for extra support. i dont even think that tape is even relevant seeing its the bottom of my foot (i dont see what the tape can do except just keeping everything still). anyway, i got a blister on the bottom of my foot from the insole.

do i need a larger shoe size with insoles?

is tape even necessary, and if yes what is the best way to tape up a foot???

and if anyone else had that condition, or does, what kind of foot support techniques do you use?

im just really looking for good suggestions so i can get into summer shape blister and pain free!!

thanks!!

Well for one thing the tape can help cause a blister if not wrapped right. I have never heard of spraining the bottom of your foot. Pulling a tendon or muscle yes.

The insoles you purchase can be trimmed to fit your shoes.

Check the article out below, it is from the Mayo clinic, it tells you how to treat it and also tells you if left on treated it can end up being a life long condition.

Good luck to you
