What is the best thing for a heel spur other then special insoles?

I like to walk every evening but my foot kills me the next morning %26amp; throughout the following day because I have a heel spur thats been with me for several years now. I tried the special insoles %26amp; they don%26#039;t help very much at all. I don%26#039;t want to go to the doctor except for a last resort. Anyone have any ideas?

Hope you take the time to do what it takes to resolve this issue.

Reply:I had this and I tried everything. Stretching, special socks you sleep in to stretch your instep overnight, insoles, changing the height of my shoes etc. In the end, the one thing that fixed it (so far) forever is a cortizone injection at the doctors. My advice is to %26quot;just do it%26quot;.
Reply:i /have/ had/ them /you/ will /need to go/ to foot Dr/ try /cortisone shots /if /do not /work/ will need /shock wave therapy /i /have/ been there /and/ i/ swear /by/ the /therapy /100%
